New fuel filter for Dodge Viper 1992-2002. Stock replacement. Genuine Mopar filter is no longer available. Choose from aftermarket stock style or aluminum machined MagnaFuel high performance replaceable element style. The MagnaFuel comes with a 10 micron filter and correct fittings to connect to the stock fuel lines on your 92-02 Viper. MagnaFuel filter will handle up to 750HP of fuel flow. Additional replacement 10 micron filters are available separately.

FUEL FILTER REMOVAL & LOCATION

Filter Removal

Start by releasing fuel pressure at the intake manifold valve located on the top passenger side of the intake. Removing the left rear tire and inner fender well is the easiest way to access the fuel filter. The filter has "push in" style fittings on both ends, and it is best to start with soaking each side in a spray lube to help with removal. There are tabs on each end of the filter that need to be depressed while the fuel line is pulled out of the filter. It helps to place an o-ring lube (like petroleum jelly) on the new fuel filter where the fittings insert and simply press the fittings into the new filter.

Filter Location

The fuel filter is located in the drivers side rear wheel well, or above and in front of the rear diff on drivers side. See picture below looking in wheel well with left rear tire and plastic inner wheel well removed (1992-2002).
